The matchmaking is smart enough to prioritise players on your platform first, so you’ll mostly play with other console users if you’re on Xbox or PlayStation.
However, if the matchmaking struggles to find enough players on your platform, it will widen the search to include PC players, ensuring quick and full matches. But if you prefer to stick just to other console players, you can disable Crossplay:
Go to the settings menu by clicking the gear icon from the main menu, navigate to “System,” then under the “Setup” section, you’ll find the Crossplay toggle. Switch it on or off depending on your preference.
It’s important to note for PC players that you cannot disable Crossplay. The PC matchmaking pool always includes players from both PC and consoles to keep game lobbies full and waiting times low.
This option to toggle Crossplay on or off on console gives players control over their experience, especially if they want to avoid mixing input types or have preferences about who they’re matched with.
