Lost Phone Scare

Earlier this week my friend lost her phone in a taxi and we spent half the night trying to figure out where it went. It made me realize how helpless you feel when you cannot check a device quickly. Now I am thinking about installing a spy app for instant monitoring on my backup phone. Anyone here using one they would recommend?
