March 6, 2026 at 11:54 amPost count: 0I’ve read various guides and explanations about futures and leverage. In principle, the logic is clear: You open a position larger than your deposit. However, when you look at examples with 5x or 10x leverage, it seems that even a small price change can significantly impact the outcome of a trade. Is it really difficult to fully understand how it works without practice? What do you think?

It’s difficult to grasp the mechanics of leverage without practice. I used to read a lot of explanations on iTrusty and thought I understood how leverage works in crypto . However, when I opened my first trades, it felt completely different. I had a case where I opened a trade, got distracted for literally half an hour, and when I came back, the position was almost at the point of liquidation due to a sharp price movement. It was a shock. After that, I started setting stops and using less leverage.
