Initiated in 2005 with headquarters in Beijing, JA Solar is a Chinese solar panel manufacturer. The firm, which briefly traded on the NASDAQ stock market in 2007 amid its rapid expansion, was bought by JASO Acquisition Limited, thereby returning it to the private sector.

There are a total of nine factories in China, plus two each in Malaysia and Vietnam, resulting in an annual output of 42.5 GW for the firm (reported by Bloomberg NEF). By September 2021, JA Solar will have become the third biggest Solar Panel manufacturer.

The panels made by Canadian Solar are considered to be of “Tier 1” quality. Panels sold in Australia are not Canadian products, despite their name. There’s nothing inherently wrong with the fact that the solar panels we buy in Canada were likely manufactured in China. Site here

The standard product warranty for the company’s panels is now 12 years (some Hiku models have a 25 year product warranty). Australians may get in touch with Canadian Solar at their Melbourne office.
